Lennox SD Tech Equity 1:1 Take Home Program

Students using Chromebooks

In an effort to address technology equity and the digital gap, all Lennox 3-8 grade students will have an opportunity to check out a Chromebook device to keep at home throughout the school year.

Lennox School District remains dedicated to ensuring that our students have the tools needed to excel in their education and future careers. Therefore, we have made the Tech Equity 1:1 Take Home Program an essential right within our Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP), which has led us to an opportunity to provide students with their own dedicated laptops for both school and home use. The Lennox School District is excited about this take-home device initiative. Under this initiative, students are loaned a Chromebook for use on school-related projects and assignments. Technology use is an important part of education. It expands learning beyond the four walls of the classroom, making information available where and when it's needed. In addition, these Chromebooks are an integral part of teaching digital citizenship in a 21st-century learning environment.

Currently, our take-home program will include all of our 3-8 grade students.

As part of the Tech Equity 1:1 Take Home Program, all 3-8 grade students are eligible to receive a Chromebook laptop and charger for take-home use. The only requirement of this program is that the student as well as parent/guardian, sign the Student Electronic Device Loan Agreement. Once this small but important requirement is met the student will be provided a device at their school site.
